   How much does she weigh? I had imagined her being about 8 ounces, but she looks more like 2-3 pounds. Or maybe you’re just much, much smaller than I imagined, and she looks large in proportion!

   Um, Jenell, I don’t think I’m all that small… She is about 600 grams (we measure them in grams at the vet’s office). She looks bigger, but it’s mostly thick, luxurious fur!

   1.3 pounds - my babies are a bit bigger than that at this point (and much skinnier, with less hair)!

   I’m sorry Hugo, Matilde is cute, but my little Benedict is much cuter. The other day I was really mean to him, I told him he was not my favorite chinchilla because he had frustrated me to the breaking point! When I apologized and said that I had ‘made it all up’ he was so sweet and cuddly…..Hey, I’m not perfect, but my Benedict is!
