		<description>Sorry to harp on my favorite subject, parental leave, but I can't help myself.  I view the real problem as a lack of guaranteed parental leave, not a lack of guaranteed maternity leave.  The assumption that it is necessarily the mother of a new child (and not the father) who takes an extended leave to care for a new child hurts fathers, mothers, and all working women regardless of whether they choose to have children.</description>
