Don't give up on Vick's sentence just yet. The state charges are still open, and given his guilty plea to the federal charges, obtaining a conviction should be a slam dunk.

John, the maximum was 60 months for Vick's crimes; I wanted the max. Elanor, I'm sorry, but I don't know how to check on LJ -- Powweb, which is my host, has a program unique to them.

Hugo, why do you consider 23 months exactly 37 months too few?

I loathe dog fighting as much as anyone who likes dogs, but after eight years of prison work, I know that translating indignation into a number of months or years on a sentence has a lot of problems.

Hugo, if I have a lj, can I check which search queries have brought people there too? How do you find that?

I'd like to see a short poem about a dog that *wasn't* an animal.
