		<description>Kevin Drum, about a year ago, asked himself why he did not say more about conditions in Iran, which stood for all the things he loathed.
He answered himself by saying that if Iran looks bad, then George Bush looks good. And he would never do that.
So, for ol' Kevin, the Iranians are on their own, at least until opposing them does not make a republican president look good.
How many oppose liberation for women, and others, simply out of Bush hatred?
Probably all.</description>

		<description>I suppose a major source of resistance to measures like this one is relativism, especially the egalitarian version of it:  we shouldn't "set ourselves up as judges" of the way they do things in other countries.  Another reason to not be a relativist.</description>
